MEET OUR GUEST SPEAKERS
Maureen Neeley is a reference librarian and owner of HouStories, having researched over 4000 properties in Long Beach. She is a past recipient of Long Beach Heritage‘s Preservationist of the Year, served as past president of Belmont Heights Community Association, and serves in numerous leadership and advisory roles for historic preservation organizations. She has lived in Long Beach since 1996.
Tim Grobaty is a columnist for the Long Beach Post. He began his newspaper career at the Press-Telegram in 1976 as a copy boy and then became a feature writer, music critic, TV critic, copy editor, and daily columnist. He has been with the Post since 2018. He is the author of several books, including I’m Dyin’ Here. He is an award-winning, off-beat, and always-funny voice in Long Beach.

This will be an indoor event on City-owned property. We will be following the current directives from the Long Beach Department Health & Human Services. In alignment with current guidelines, we will not require attendees to wear masks. You are welcome and encouraged to wear a mask. Although we will not require documentation, current health guidelines recommend all 5 years old and up be vaccinated (and boosted) with the COVID-19 vaccine.
