Board Election 2024

Only those adults who are current, paid Voting Members in good standing, as defined in the BPNA’s posted Bylaws, Manners of Acting and Standing Rules, are eligible to run for a board officer position and/or cast a vote. Membership status and eligibility will be verified, and only eligible votes will be counted.

The balloting (voting) began around midnight on Wednesday night, March 20, with emails sent to Voting Members and ends Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (PDT). The balloting is being conducting in accordance with the BPNA Bylaws, Manners of Acting, past practices and previous public announcements and online postings.

The Board Officer positions of Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President of Communications are up for election now for a term of (2) years. The BPNA’s board officers have staggered terms to ensure better continuity and functioning of the Board over the long term.

NOTE: Not all Board Officer positions up for election this year have declared candidates. The BPNA Board once seated has the ability to fill open positions. Any interested persons, should email president @bluffpark. org or call (562) 449-0977.

The positions of President, Vice President of Events & Fundraising, Vice President of Historic Preservation, Vice President of Public Safety will be up for election in 2025. Only the role of President is limited to serving consecutive terms no more than 3 times.

Election results are expected to be posted on our website’s home page by Saturday, March 30.

STOP:  If you are NOT a current paid BPNA Voting Member in good standing, your ballot will be discarded and will not be counted, and you should not expect to be notified. All ballots submitted will be verified for membership status. If you are UNSURE whether your membership is current or if you are UNSURE whether you are eligible to cast a ballot, please email us at secretary @ bluffpark . org or at membership @ bluffpark . org or call (562) 449-0977. Allow us 24 hours to respond. Note that the voting deadline cannot be extended.

ONLY ONE (1) BALLOT (OR ONLY THE FIRST BALLOT) MAY BE CAST AND COUNTED PER MEMBER HOUSEHOLD.
