DESCRIPTION:Councilwoman Suzie Price and the Bluff Park Neighborhood Association invite you on Saturday\, August 18 @ 9:30 AM to Loma Ave & East 1st Street to celebrate and remember John Parkin at the newly named “John Parkin Greenspace” in the Bluff Park Historic District.\n\n\n\n\nJohn’s family will be there\, making it a wonderful time to meet and mingle\, share stories and reflect on the wonderful life and lasting legacy of one of our founding and influential residents and leaders! All are welcome and encouraged to attend this free community event!\n\n\n\n\nSpecial thanks goes Councilwoman Suzie Price and her team and to the many residents over the years for their passion and love of John\, of our historic district\, and  of the little park that now bears his name. \n\n\n\n\nRead the BPNA’s letter about John’s contributions to the neighborhood and city! \n\n\n\n\n\nView the e-news blast with our residents’ reflections on John. He lived as a well-respected human being from 1926 to 2015. We will forever miss and always remember! \n\n\n\n
