National Night Out

Tue, August 6 @ 6:30 PM 8:00 PM

WHAT? All are invited to enjoy a summer evening to mix and mingle with neighbors and, most importantly, meet some of the officers in the Long Beach Police Department. Enjoy refreshments and entertainment at our hosts’ homes in their front yards.

WHY? Have casual, impromptu, collegial discussions with the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers and personnel to learn about the hard work and service they do for our neighborhood and citywide. Bring up your questions and concerns to them. Share goals, tips and strategies to help make us all safer.

WHERE? With very special thanks to our generous 2024 NNO hosts, you may visit any or all of the following front-yard locations in our Bluff Park Historic District neighborhood:

3040 E. 1st Street – Hosts: Justin and Ralph – Seeking donations of non-perishable food items and books – From 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

20 Lindero Avenue – Hosts: Denise and John – Featuring gourmet home cooking and a dessert bar – From 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

2535 E. 1st Street – Hosts: Joe, Lisa and Jim – Featuring live musical entertainment by singing crooner Paul Munoz – From 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Paul Munoz, The SingingWineTender

FUN & FREE for all. Open to the Public.

Special thanks to the Long Beach Police Department.

Since being established by the national Association of Town Watch in 1984, National Night Out has become a celebration of neighborhoods across the nation, including all over the city of Long Beach, promoting public safety. This year marks NNO’s 40th year!

Since 2017, the BPNA has been coordinating this annual event helping facilitate police-community partnership, education, and camaraderie.
