Are you concerned about increased density and growth potential in Long Beach?
Make sure to attend an upcoming public discussion forum!
BPNA would like to help spread the word about Long Beach’s Land Use Element of the General Plan, and its future impact on the density and growth of the city.
City staff recently completed the Land Use Element (LUE) of the General Plan and brought it to the Planning Commission.
Some citizens voiced their concerns about the increased density allowed on major thoroughfares and other areas in Long Beach detailed in the LUE.
The Commission voted to allow more public discussion of the matter before any action is taken.
Four meetings are scheduled in various venues around the city between now and October 18. The public is invited to attend and participate in them.
Dates and locations are as follows:
1.
Saturday, Sept 30,
3-5 p.m. at Veterans Park Community Center,
101 E. 28th St.
3.
Saturday, October 14, 11am-1 pm at Best Western Golden Sails Hotel,
6285 E. PCH
