Part 3: Engaging in Courageous Conversations

This unique, interactive series in January and February 2021 will start us on the path to recognizing our own unconscious biases; building trust, equity, inclusion and compassion; becoming an ally; and being courageous in starting empathic conversations; and we will hear about the City’s efforts to learn from history and build a more equitable community in Long Beach.

Josef Levy will lead us in a 3-part special, exclusive BPNA interactive series on building and maintaining a safe, respectful and inclusive community.  Other guest speakers for the series are Katie Balderas and Naomi Rainey-Pierson. During the meeting you may type in questions via the online chat function or email president @ bluffpark.org. All attendees will be muted, so you will not be able to speak nor ask audible questions. We will do our best but we cannot guarantee all questions will be addressed.

INTERACTIVITY DURING THE MEETING WILL REQUIRE UPDATING TO THE LATEST VERSION OF ZOOM

We will be using Zoom technology to enhance interactivity and engagement during the meeting. Be sure to download and update to the latest version of Zoom. Visit https://zoom.us/download. For those without a supported device and internet access, advance registrants will be able to call in using any telephone for the audio portion only of the meeting.
